The installation instructions are as follows:

1. Measure the inner height of the side panel frame (or measure the height of your old side panel and add 1/8 inch to the height).
2. Cut the double-layer side panel to the desired size, using the hand saw provided.
3. Apply the foam tape (white color) to the bottom rail of the panel frame for better insulation. There's no need to peel the adhesive backing of the white foam tape.
4. Peel the yellow adhesive backing and stick one side of the panel to the frame, then peel and stick the other side of the panel to the air conditioner.

If you have a "clip-on" type panel frame, you'll need to remove the channel on the side before clipping the side panel to the frame.
